DESIGN FOR QATAR'S 2022 WORLD CUP STADIUM UNVEILED



The proposed design for the 2022 world cup to be held in the gas-rich country of Qatar has been unveiled.The nation's leaders set out to build a 40,000 capacity stadium that will leave international spectators in awe.The state-of-the-art stadium is expected to be ready by 2018.Though AECOM,the firm that won the Al Wahkrah contract along with Zaha Hadid architects say the design was inspired by a dhow,a boat used by pearl divers and local fishermen in the region for centuries,a lot of people still have a strong thought that it looks pretty much like a ''vagina''.How true is that?
